For the emerging markets joining the ongoing trends of releasing light app,The Kindle Lite Beta app is launched in India by Amazon. Low end hardware is targeted and is available for a Android devices in the  country.It is designed in such a manner that it will be worked on 2G network and its weigh is less than 2MB.


On your smartphone you can read ebooks through Amazon Kindle Lite Beta app which is a prime purpose of this app. To find the best suited books and this app has list of all existing ebooks and has access to  the Kindle store . This app has Whispersync for books ,just like its original Kindle app,which take your last reading post  whenever you comeback . Dedicated data and storage section is also provided in this app through which you can permit monitor network and storage usage. By removing the cached offline pages you can free up some space.

To improve app head  its public release it has a feedback section.

Popular highlights ,flashcards,Word Runner and Word Wise  which are the features of original Amazon Kindle app are not provided in this app. Overall the new development is done to provide  an e book library to users of smartphone who have limited storage space and connectivity.

From Google play  you can download the Amazon Lite Beta app . All devices running on Android 4.4 and above are supported by this app. However this app is only available in India ,but we are not sure that whether the Amazon has made this app available anywhere else or not.
